**Important Update** – URGENT! Building Found and Funds Needed as Soon as Possible

We found out today that the building we were going to take for the school isn’t up for rent but there is a good chance for us to buy it. The building is in the Crumpsall and Cheetham Hill area, approximately 3 mins from the masjid and has planning permission (d1) for a school and nursery.

After consultation amongst the brothers on the shurah and the school committee, and also after losing out on a previous building, then we have concluded that it is a must that we go for this building.

We need to raise the money for it… The total is £560,000 for the building, and approximately £40,000 for work on it – totalling £600,000.

Although this isn’t a small amount it is relatively cheap in comparison to other buildings for £700,000, that don’t have the appropriate planning, and quality location.

Then brothers & sisters, we need to get into gear and raise this money. We have approximately 3 months to do so.

This is something that affects everyone of us in one way or another. Some of us have children and others not. So anyone of us who has children, is expecting children, has nieces or nephews or knows know others with children kids, will all be affected in a positive way insha’Allah by having a school.

It will also open up the doors for many brothers and sisters to work in a good, enjoyable, rewarding and halaal environment and to build the community as a whole upon the with good tarbiyyah upon the correct Islamic Aqeedah.

If you can donate, then please do. Any amount will do. Anything will be highly appreciated and insha’Allah the reward will be multiplied due to all the children which will benefit from your donation.

If you can loan anything, then contact the brothers Abu A’isha Amjad Khan (Manchester) or Abu Ameerah Kashif Zulfiqar (Ashton); and for sisters please contact the deputy head Lola Fasan. We will agree a repayment term and time and work our hardest to repay it.

Please loan any amount £10, £100, £1000, £10,000… You will be rewarded by Allah even for a loan and inshallah that will also be multiplied. And then you will also get your money back.

We can’t stress the importance and urgency of this to the community here in Manchester. For a community established for more than ten years, the school has been sorely missed. And we see the effects in our area on some of the children who grew up without this facility, and Allah’s aid is sought.

So once again, brothers and sisters, then for the sake of Allah and his pleasure, then please work as hard as you can to raise this money. Speak to your friends, family, the general Muslims and convince them of the importance of a Muslim School upon the Qur’an and Sunnah.

Let’s make it happen bi’idhnillah! And with Allah is the tawfeeq and to him is the final return.

Salafi School Kid’s Summer Fun Day – Sunday 22nd June (End of Term)

As-salāmu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuhu.

Great news! For the children’s end of term treat, we have been offered (may Allah reward the brothers) some grounds on which to hold a fun day for all the kids! Please see the poster below and the details for the day below.

Certificates & Prizes Day

Please note that the last day is on Sunday – And it is where the children receive their certificates and prizes. Parents are also invited to stay and take part in their children’s successes. The location is different, as we will be having a Summer Fun Day/Trip for the children.

Address: PALM BEACH & B&A QUILTING, (grounds), OXFORD STREET EAST, ASHTON, OL7 0LT.

At the beginning of the day (10:30) there will be an assembly, and the children will receive their certificates, including prizes for the top 3 achievers in each year group. The children will then be able to take part in all of the activities present. The Saturday School Attendees will be given free tickets to go month activities as well as to buy some snacks and foods. Everybody else will need to purchase some tickets insha’Allah, with all proceeds going back to the school.

We request ALL the parents to come and join in with their children on that day. Please note that we won’t be able to supervise the children so parents and guardians will need to be present with their children

. It will be a fun day, and you can bring cousins and family  members. Parents are encouraged to stay for the duration of the assembly and celebrate their child/children’s success with us. Please note that we would expect good Islamic behaviour from those outside the Saturday School also.

Update: Provisional Application Passed to Regeneration Team for Consideration

We have received news that our pre planning request has been passed over to the Area regeneration team and is under consideration. This is for a number of buildings out of which we hope to secure one for the school.

It is becoming increasingly important for us to be ready with the relevant funding, as the net stage would be a contract negotiation with the best possible site, leading to a full planning application for the site.

We project this to be within the next two to three months. And so we ask you to please continue making du’a and donating.

May Allah make us successful.

الحمد لله و الصلاة و السلام على رسول الله و على آله و صحبه و من والى،

Allah سبحانه و تعالى stated in the Qur’an “و إن تعدوا نعمة الله لا تحصوها” And if you would count the graces of Allah, never could you be able to count them.

Truly, the blessings of Allah upon us are great, such that the scholars, such as Shaikh Mohammad bin ‘Abdul-Wahhab and others, have stated that from the signs of happiness in this world and the hereafter is gratitude to Allah for the numerous blessings He bestowed upon us.

From such blessings that we demonstrate our gratitude to Allah upon is the establishment of the Salafi Da’wah in the Manchester…

School: Donations Received and Regular Monthly Contribution Pledged!

Asalaamualaikum wa rahmatullah

After our announcement yesterday some excellent news! We have had a pledge of £100 per month of regular funding for the school, starting immediately.

We have also had some money donated and pledged totalling £2,000…

Alhamdulilaah for this ni’aamah, and we ask for this effort to continue, and may it be a means of us entering Jannah.

Announcement: Full time Nursery, Primary & Secondary School

As-salāmu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuh.

By the permission of Allah, we find ourselves in a good position to start a school in Manchester.

We have been working hard to locate an adequate building. Our needs require us to take on a building large enough to accommodate a nursery, primary school and the current Saturday school; along with having the facilities to expand into a high school in the future. Such buildings do not come cheap, and the price to buy such a building would potentially cost us upwards of £700,000 in Manchester.

So we have decided to take the route of renting a building, locating a number of potential buildings that fulfil the above criteria. The rent falls between £45,000 and £55,000 per year for all of them.

The benefits of renting are that the upfront costs are low. It also allows us to make the building sustainable and workable, prior to asking for any large sums of money from the people; something that is a heavy burden and trust upon us. Obviously the disadvantages are that we would have to cover the rent costs every year. However if we have a large enough building with a decent number of children, then this cost will be serviceable.

The school will be run within the current charitable framework and will be fully independent and fee based. Although physically separate from the masjid, it will still be a part of the setup. There will be no single beneficiary of the fees, except the school and masjid as a whole and all praise is due to Allah.

We wish to follow the example of some of our noble brothers who have already set up a Salafi School with respect to their continuous striving to achieve high standards even in difficult circumstances. And we wish to make the school self-sustaining in the long term. However currently we would require some financial assistance in order to get this project up and running.

By Allah’s mercy we have established a weekend school. We started small, with a small group of committed brothers and sisters, who have worked tirelessly until the school was established. It is now able to sustain itself continue to serve the purpose it was intended for – to the best of our ability. However in order to get to this stage, then initially we had to invest around £3,000 into the building, and we have since continued investing into the masjid building, so that the building is safe, clean and an excellent environment for the children.

With the new building, then that investment will be much greater. We are looking into prior planning advice from Manchester City council. Once we are given an indication then we will submit a proper planning application, and draw up a contract to take on the most viable building.

We project that we will require approximately £21,000 just to take possession of the building. This is broken down as follows:

  1. A month’s deposit
  2. Three month’s rent (due to us being a small charity, with a low financial turnover)
  3. Solicitors fees
  4. Architect’s planning fees
  5. Miscellaneous costs

Once that is completed there will be a lot of work to be done on the inside the building, and for this then we would need to get the estimates before we can quote a figure. So we ask the brothers and sisters to aid this project financially and with raising awareness of this project. We will be updating this regularly with news on our progress. Please make du’a to Allah that he allows this project to succeed. Indeed without His aid, Permission and Mercy, then we wouldn’t be in this position. And we are forever in need of Him (Glorified Be He).
