We are pleased to announce that the new semester will be starting on Saturday 14th September 2013. The term will run for 12 weeks and then the final exam will be held the Saturday after the last week.
Please ensure your child arrives at the school no later than 10:30am. I will be at the men’s entrance to welcome the male students and the deputy head will be available at the sister’s entrance. The doors will be locked at 10:45am. Please be at the school to collect your child/children no later than 3:40pm.
Fees:
The children will be studying Arabic, Quran & Islamic Studies. During each semester the students will require notebooks, exercise books to cover the three subjects being taught and other stationary. This will be provided by the school at a one off cost of £5. The weekly price per child is £10 and £7 for any additional siblings. This can be paid weekly or monthly (in advance), by cash or direct debit.
The new school rules are below. Please read carefully as these rules must be adhered to from now on.
School Rules
Uniform:
All students have to wear Islamic clothing as part of the school uniform. Effective immediately, the school reserves the right to send a child home for not wearing the correct clothing. Descriptions of suitable clothing are detailed below:
- No clothing/bags with images of living beings e.g. pictures of people or animals. This is something not permissible in Islaam and we will not allow them in the school/masjid.
- Boys: Thobe or shalwaar kameez. Clothing must not go below the ankle as is the sunnah.
- Girls: Hijaab, headscarf and jilbaab.
Report Card:
If a student continually misbehaves then they will be put on report for a specified time. There will be specific targets to meet. If these targets are not met then the student may be suspended from the school for the remainder of the term. Enrolment for future terms may be considered.
Absences:
If a student is regularly absent without a valid reason then this may result in the student being suspended from school for the remainder of the term and not allowed to take part in the final exam, prizes or the school trip. Enrolment for future terms may be considered.
Lunch:
Please ensure your child is supplied with a pack lunch with no sugary foods present i.e. chocolates, fizzy drinks etc. Please can you also ensure that if your child/children are given any homework that you set aside sometime in the week to go over it with them.
Please note the school is not being run for a profit and all proceeds will be reinvested into the school/masjid. If you have any queries or concerns please feel free to contact us.
